In 2021, Félix brilliantly raised two seed rounds for Axya totaling $5.4M CAD, demonstrating to investors and manufacturing executives the need to digitise supply chain operations smartly.
With a global team of almost 30 people, Axya are on a positive trajectory. Over to Felix to provide the detail on what Axya has to offer.
Felix, what is Axya?
Axya is a Montreal-based remote company including around 30 employees across various countries. Its main mission is to create value in procurement by providing innovative technological solutions for manufacturing businesses. Founded in 2019, our B2B SaaS company has developed expertise in a variety of manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, transportation, mining, and industrial equipment. Axya offers a modular source-to-pay software for manufacturing companies ready to take on digital transformation. We build the technology necessary to manage complex and fast-paced procurement operations.
What issue does your solution solve?
The manufacturing industry is an old one and their procurement processes are still archaic, even within the most advanced companies. Procurement teams are used to working with suppliers via phone calls, Excel spreadsheets, and emails to try to get their parts on time. Without having a proper way to track the status of their operation, it creates an environment where critical information can slip and block production. Axya has developed an intuitive solution to support procurement teams throughout the source-to-pay stages of their work so that all the operational information is readily at hand.
From RFQ creation to supplier selection to PO follow-up, Axya’s solution for procurement teams allows users to:
• Bring unprecedented visibility to their operations.
• Save human and cycle time thanks to automation.
• Work with a platform that is easily integrated with their company’s ERP system.
Recognising the value of buyer-supplier relations, one of Axya’s objectives is to optimise the work and dynamic between the different parties. That’s why Axya also offers access to a free supplier directory hosting more than 20,000 suppliers profiles for buyers to find the right suppliers for their needs.
Who is your solution aimed at? What does your perfect client look like?
Our solution is aimed at procurement managers in manufacturing companies between 10-400 employees and preferably around the Great Lakes area!
What is the biggest challenge Axya faces?
The biggest challenge Axya faces is educating manufacturers about the importance of adopting new technologies like ours to improve the procurement process. Similarly, once implemented handling the change management with buyers that have been doing their work in a similar way for a long time is also a challenge!
Adoption is critical for technology stickiness, we put great care into making sure our product is as intuitive to use and packed with value!
Why pick Axya?
We ensure 100% supplier adoption of any of our source-to-pay modules. To achieve this we deploy an enormous amount of technological resources to digitalise and structure all the information the suppliers are sending through the system.
