What issue does your solution solve?
CarbonBlock provides a comprehensive solution for determining, calculating, managing, and exchanging Product Carbon Footprint data. By utilizing our platform, one can identify greenhouse gas emissions related to manufacturing process and automatically calculate PCF based on secondary emission data for BOM components. CircularTree‘s dashboard provides an automated hotspot analysis and actionable insights. One can also request upstream emission data from the supply chain, increasing the primary data share of PCF and receiving guidance to decrease CO2 emissions.
Who is your solution aimed at? What does your perfect client look like?
We target customers all around the globe, whereas the current supply chain and sustainability focus lies on companies within the EU as new regulations push the need for such a solution. The typical buyer is a C-level (Procurement, Sustainability Director etc.) of a mid-sized company within the manufacturing industry (Automotive, FMCG, and so forth).
What is the biggest challenge CircularTree faces?
Companies are quite new to sustainability changes and the market is currently overcrowded leading to difficulties for customers to make informed purchasing decisions. Furthermore, industry standards are relatively new and not completely set yet and company ecosystems are in the beginning of their activities. As there are rarely any use cases available, companies stick to long decision times and market requirements change quickly.
