Passionate about bringing together people and technology to make capital project procurement more sustainable and now as Business Operations Director at Requis, we caught up with Loïc to learn more about what’s on offer at Requis.

What is Requis?

Requis transforms all aspects of procuring capital project materials and services, including tendering and supplier management. The Requis platform provides both capital project teams and suppliers with unprecedented access to new markets, while delivering benefits such as lower the cost of procured goods and services, decreasing schedule length, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and improving suppliers’ relationships.

What issue does your solution solve?

Capital project procurement is siloed by projects and non-collaborative. It creates major time and cost inefficiencies for capital projects, including duplicate work in terms of supplier relationships and prequalification.

Requis digitizes procurement workflows such as tendering, bid evaluation, project level supplier prequalification, and corporate capital project analytics.

Who is your solution aimed at? What does your perfect client look like?

Requis focuses on capital project procurement and by extension infrastructure and public procurement (which are project led). We address all business sizes in the capital project sector.

Requis has business in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Main centres are in North America, Asia and the Middle East.

Requis appeals to CPO, CFO, procurement directors, procurement managers, project directors, projects managers. Requis can be adopted on a simple project, or across thousands of projects for one customer.

What is the biggest challenge Requis faces?

Procurement solutions have been bundled into ERPs that focuses on finance features and solutions. While necessary solutions, they mainly ignore procurement functionalities. Requis needs to change perceptions so procurement teams embrace new technologies built for them not for the finance teams.

Circular economy and sustainability are core areas at Requis that would benefit from more procurement visibility. Requis is seeing many great initiatives for more sustainable procurement practices.

Why pick Requis?

Requis is focused on openness and collaboration while building a cooperative ecosystem with procurement/project teams and supplier teams all In one platform.

Requis openness is highlighted through the following innovative features:

  • Requis is the only procurement platform that crowdsources suppliers and allows to build private relationships with them digitally.
  • Requis is the only procurement platform with a Public API that fosters innovation via building applications, widgets, connectors, and more on top of the Requis platform.
  • Requis is the only platform that automates carbon emission calculation and carbon offsetting at the RFQ level with reporting at the project and organisation level.
  • Requis is the only procurement platform running a thriving circular economy marketplace. It offers visibility and sells contingency purchasing back to other projects.
